Before the Foundation of the World

Our sinfulness didn’t catch God by surprise.  God knew from the beginning that we would disobey Him, choosing the knowledge of good and evil over a relationship with Him.  This world has been cursed and corrupted because of our sinfulness.  Again, this didn’t derail God’s plans.

Before God ever created earth for man’s dwelling place, He prepared eternal realms in which both righteous and wicked beings would dwell (Matt. 25:34,41).  Before man was ever given a command to obey, God planned for Jesus to come into this world as the one perfect sacrifice to cover (atone) man’s sins (1 Peter 1:18-20; Acts 2:23; Rev. 13:8).  Before Adam and Eve set foot in the garden of Eden, God predestined to adopt and redeem those who had lost fellowship with Him who came to Him through faith in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:4-6).

“Known to God from eternity are all His works” (Acts 15:18).

You and I are going somewhere when we die.  This life is not the end.  God never intended it that way.  Our spirits will return to the God who gave them (Ecclesiastes 12:7).  We will either be in heaven with God, or in eternal destruction with the devil (Matt. 25:41,46; Revelation 20:15).  Which is it for you?

Are you “registered” in heaven (Hebrews 12:23)?

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:26-27).
